This is the homepage for the Simulator for the Linear Collider (SLIC), a Geant4-based simulations package that uses an XML geometry input format called LCDD.
The author is Jeremy McCormick, who works at SLAC.
The SLAC-hosted Confluence Wiki is a place to post comments and find write-ups on the SLIC package, including a post on Running SLIC at SLAC.
For instructions on running and installing the simulator, start with the manual.
Binaries with minimal runtime dependencies are available from the SLIC distribution directory.
Here are quick instructions for checking out SLIC from CVS.
bash export CVSROOT=:pserver:anonymous@cvs.freehep.org:/cvs/lcd cvs co slic
There is also Doxygen-generated C++ documentation.
There are two main channels for discussing SLIC.
Use the Jira Bug Tracker to formally report bugs and feature requests.
A less formal avenue is posting in the Full Simulations area of the LinearCollider.org forum, to which I am subscribed.
Or you can just send me an email.
SLIC and/or results from it are major topics in the following presentations.
